Dry Hands And Cold Beer Are What Stubby Coolers Give
By Spa guru | April 16, 2011
In 1972, Malcolm Lock, a South Australian businessman and pioneer surfing person is faced with a problem. With the increase in demand of wetsuits, his company had to do away with large volume of wetsuit neoprene rubber off-cuts, and this costs him money.
During his break, Malcolm surfed and treat himself to an odd drink or two. And whilst savoring a drink one time, he felt how his hands became abnormally too cold and his beer quickly got warm. Experienced with the insulating characteristics of neoprene, he pondered on solving the problem.
From here, the stubby cooler was conceived.
Not anymore will neoprene be disposed. In addition, there will be cooler hands, but most of all, beer will retain its coldness longer.
In a country like Australia, where people live to have a cold beer, the usefulness of the stubby cooler were immediately prized. At once, Instantly, the stubby cooler became a necessary drinking implement. It was trendy to have the finest stubby cooler—a new culture was initiated.
From this inspiration, a whole industry has grown; the original stubby cooler find another application to insulate bottles, to have customized versions and many other forms. Yet, the simpleness and usefulness of the “original stubby cooler” design remains. Presently, they are variously considered as stubby coolers, stubby holders, can coolers, can holders, cozies, or wetsuit coolers.
Those novel simple stubby coolers were unornamented and unprinted, but quickly were emblazoned with messages of companies who wanted to make known themselves. Today, customized stubby coolers are adorned with full color with pictures advertising products and services, as tokens and keepsakes.
There was no way for Malcom to project, in 1972, that his new invention would arrive at this stage.
As long as Australian’s crave to enjoy a cold beer, the stubby cooler will flourish.

The Right Diet Provides Stress Relief
By Spa guru | April 16, 2011
Receiving an accurate healthy diet is not only about nourishing ourselves with the right blend of fruit and vegetables, proteins, fibre, minerals, counting calories and so on. It can also refer to other mor subtle elements. By this, I mean that what we feed ourselves in terms of our thoughts, beliefs and emotions is also important to our health and well-being.
When you get right down to it, thoughts, beliefs and emotions are really nothing more than body chemical or energy reactions to whatever meanings we are feeding into the system. In other words, inside the body the hypothalamus gets triggered to produce an emotional response (chemically or energetically interpreted) any time you add a little kind of implication or interpretation to an event! This goes some way to answering the question of how does stress affect health.
So, whenever we react to an event by feeling stressed or joyful, good or bad about it, ‘feel good’ or ‘feel bad’ chemical or neuropeptide bundles are released simultaneously and travel to all of the cells in the body. They act like a key to lock into the cell receptors (like keyholes) on the surface of these cells. Once the key locks in, the cell changes its physical vibration to either a higher or a lower frequency according to the ‘code’ or key entered (stress, happiness, anger, joy)
Neuropeptides are like food to the cells, which split and reproduce as they feed. So, for example if we are feeling angry or sad about something, the ‘anger’ or ‘sad’ peptides go ahead and feed the cell in response to our angry or sad thoughts and emotions. So, as they continue to reproduce, the result is that more and angry or sad cells start to inhabit the body. These cells develop an attraction for the ‘foods’ they have already started to receive, like an addiction or a craving ….. and will reproduce quickly to get more of the same, whatever that is, whether it is meat and veg, joy or sadness!
This results in a crowding out at the surface of the cell as it becomes populated with all of the ‘anger’ or ‘sadness’ receptors that are growing in response to being fed anger or sadness.
So as a result, if we are continually feeding ourselves with negative emotions there is less space for happiness, gratitude, love, laughter, acceptance etc ….. receptors to be cultivated. So it becomes harder for us to actually feel happy or grateful because we have less of those kinds of cells to draw upon as resources.
So maybe we need to change things by starting a happy or ‘high’ energy diet!!
We can begin to create for ourselves new neural pathways and lots of new and healthier cells, with new meaning, more love, more connection, more happiness and joy.
Why not have a go with the following exercise as a new stress reduction technique:
Smile …
… and say to someone next to you, or to someone in your imagination (the body doesn’t know the difference)
“You are appreciated”
Congratulations!
By simply doing that one little thing you have just triggered off over 15 trillion crystal formations and flooded your cells with a mass of higher vibrational neuropeptides. You may even be feeling better already through this relaxation techniques and as a matter of fact your immune system has been given a boost into the bargain! Imagine if you did that even just once a day. You would quickly have ample resources to draw upon whenever you desire to up your mood and it will be much easier to stay happy.
