Air Conditioners – Good Or Bad For Health?

By Spa guru | July 25, 2010

There has been a myth circulating in recent years that air conditioning is indisputably bad for your health, but it’s time for you to think again! The difference is if your air conditioner is well looked after and maintain it will only help improve the environment. Having a quality air system can offer many benefits to your health, and suppliers will be able to design custom air systems to suit your needs.

Air conditioning controls humidity levels in the air. As all of us know, a humid atmosphere is a breeding ground for the moulds, mites and dust which cause allergies. Air conditioning controls humidity to levels of 40 to 60 % and prevents mites and moulds from multiplying. The major win from this is it stops allergies spreading.

Ventilation is another factor that is of great importance for good health. Because of the change in construction technology over the past 10 year ventilation is becoming more and more important. The main purpose of air conditioners is producing fresh air which creates an environment less prone to sickness.

Only thinking about ventilation is very narrow minded and not enough. Of course the most important thing is the air you breath is clean. Many proven brands such as Daikin air conditioning and Toshiba air conditioning units are provided with an air filter. There are different types of filters used on various types of air conditioning systems. The main job of filters is cut down dust particles as well as bacteria. It even filters smoke and microbes. so the air is made cleaner for breathing. However, if you do not clean the filter regularly or replace it from time to time, you will only be risking attacks from bacteria and other pollutants.

It is wrong to say that if you use air conditioning you will feel sick. This kind of thinking it just not true and if you do research on the subject you will see that research has proven this. It only serves you by providing clean and cool air, taking care of your health.
